Custom Sign-In Pages and Vouchers
The UniFi Hotspot Portal puts a sign-in page in front of the guest Wi-Fi, with the property's welcome text, logo and colours. The hotspot portal can be applied to one Wi-Fi name or to a whole network. Guests can sign in with a password or a voucher; vouchers can carry an expiry time, a speed limit or a data cap. The landing page can require guests to accept terms of use before they connect, and the terms text is editable.
Device Isolation and Security
Owner devices, cameras and locks, and the property manager each sit on their own network. A hotspot network isolates guest devices from the rest of the network. Network isolation keeps the guest network off the owner's cameras, door hardware, sensors and the manager's devices. Devices on the guest network reach the internet only. Client device isolation stops one guest's device from reaching another guest's device.
Bandwidth Management
Speed limits on the guest network keep one guest from using the whole connection. File transfers and other bandwidth-heavy applications can be blocked on the guest network.
