Putting a socket in the lot is easy, and it is also how a business ends up paying to run a car it does not own. There is no record of who charged, when, or how much.
A managed charger identifies the driver before it delivers anything, meters the session, and produces a figure per person per month.
That turns it into a decision somebody can actually make: absorb it as a staff benefit, recharge it to a tenant, or charge visitors. All three work once the number exists.
The metering is the part that matters. A socket in a wall cannot tell you any of this, which is the whole difference.
