Displaying Tap Lists and Events
Digital signage lets you display tap lists showing what is pouring, complete with beer style, strength, and price. You can update these lists as kegs change by editing the content in a web browser, and your changes will appear on every screen. You can also promote event nights, trivia, and live music on a schedule. If you use multiple screens, you can manage them together to show the same content or different content. This allows you to run sports or a web page on one screen while your tap list runs on another.
Hardware and Scheduling
The system uses an ordinary flatscreen TV with a small player connected to its HDMI port. The main player supports 4K resolution, web pages, and scheduled playlists, while a simpler player runs one screen with a single playlist at 1080p. You can schedule different screen layouts by the time of day and the day of the week. Because the content is stored locally, screens keep running on the last schedule if the internet goes down and automatically return to the right content after a power cut. The system can also show any web page, which allows you to display a wait-time board, a queue, a booking page, or an internal dashboard.
